Thanks for letting me join your team. I just read your comments on the weekend. Unbelievably spot on. Especially #1. I trained specifically for the middle and had to deal with my 10 year old who had no clue what was going on (as I) a minute in front. Just really annoyed all of us. On the white course the buses parked in front of a control. So it couldn't be seen. And two codes were flipped. This was verified by another lady. (But nobody heard these complaints as young kids aren't venting on AP.) I thought Friday was epically poor.

Danny, thanks for reminding me about the mixed up controls on the white course. That is unacceptable. I have edited my comments.

For NAOC 2020, BAOC outsourced the start crew responsibilities to Cascade. They coordinated this through Sue Kuestner many, many months ago.

I also would stop short of saying that the sprint map was good. There's a lot of sloppy drafting and decisions that result in less-than-ideal legibility. I also suspect that there are minimum gaps and such that aren't met, but since I've only seen scans of paper prints, it's hard to tell if the issues are print-related or drafting-related. Admittedly, I have extremely high standards for sprint maps, as I've been spoiled by years of GVOC gems.

Mary, may I send your list of comments on the event to the sanctioning committee for a post-mortem discussion?

Add to sprint comments that the single course designated for the F/M -10, -12, and -14 was the same as used for the older (experienced) folks F55 and older and M65 and older; 4 of the 9 entrants in those classes DNFd.
