Things went better today. It was quite technical today and that seemed to suite me better. Solid orienteering with the exception of some hesitation to 9 and loosing direction through the green to 13, but resulting in wobbling instead of getting way off.

Hiking up the tallest mountain in Connecticut, Bear Mountain. Not the tallest in the world at 2,379 feet but it had quite a spectacular view. So Sarah and I have done the highest peak in each state for 4 out of 6 New England states. Maine and Rhode Island left.

Good course by Ian, but still running very conservatively.

Orienteered well except two bad mistakes.

10 minutes at #6 as I could not get the contours to match even though I was almost on top of the control the whole time. Had to go out to path to attack again.

After #11, I wanted to drop down to path, but the path was non-existent so I dropped down way too far almost to the field. Lost some 5 minutes.
