No Frankenstorm until after the race, and at 59 degrees and overcast, the weather was just about perfect. And while I didn't do as much training as I'd initially planned, my secondary plan of not injuring myself during the training process seems to have worked, since I felt great throughout my run (no nagging knee/hamstring/calf/hip issues at all!) and I beat my Seattle 2002 time by a half hour.
5k splits were
5k 35.58
10k 33.06
15k 33.31
20k 33.08
25k 32.43
30k 34.17
35k 36.04
40k 40.13
42k 17.04
So I obviously slowed down at the 30k mark, but I didn't REALLY start to feel it until 35k. My goal was 4:30, and right up until the 20 mile mark, I really thought I might make it. Oh well, I'll focus on building my 10k and half marathon speed for the next year or so, and I think I could easily do 4:15 on my next marathon.
