Same old same old with the foot. On the cusp of a cold too.

Note

Cold has got steadily worse throughout the day, although foot is feeling a bit better (or I've just not noticed it as much in comparison).

Calf raises and full set of stretching.

Foot feeling more or less fine? Virus has unpacked its bags, put its feet up and switched the TV on though.

Done some thinking and planning about what to do til the end of the year. Will write up tomorrow.

Foot was feeling loads better last night but pain and swelling is back with a vengeance this morning.

Eased off to more of a dull ache during the day. Rested and iced.

Foot feeling a little bit better today. Plenty of ice, rest and doing unholy things with a golf ball. Planning to take the weekend off too and then look at swimming and circuits type stuff next week. Maybe cycling too if I can fix Dad's bike.

Situation remains the same with the foot - bruising, discomfort on walking etc. Frustrating. Might be alright for swimming I guess? Should probably be doing circuits etc. instead too but I really cba at the moment. Feel like a few total days off might actually do me some good in the long run if I can ease back into training properly afterwards.

Note

After a bit of thinking and research, the injury appears to match a lot of the symptoms for PF (with pain mostly in and around the arch etc). Grr. Didn't self-diagnose it as that earlier as I'd no experience of what it was like. Physio again as and when I can afford it.

Swelling and bruising seems to have gone down quite a bit overnight but still uncomfortable to walk on.

Foot still sore in the morning and fair amount of discomfort on walking. So definitely not running for at least a few more days and putting it down as a proper injury. Frustrating as I was just starting to get back to normal again. (Don't think it's related to starting back on regular training? It definitely feels like it's just bruised from impact although I can't remember any particular incident on Sunday?)

Bit of a bruise formed overnight on outside of foot. Somewhat painful to walk on. Will RICE it when I have time.

Circuits 30:00 [2]

Shuoc circuits. Fair bit of faffing as the bag had gone missing so sheets needed re-writing and the speakers weren't working either. Tried to avoid putting too much stress/weight on my left foot.
