To Uni and back. Been awhile since I've done that.

Orienteering race (Uni urban) 34:44 [4] 4.2 km (8:16 / km)
shoes: Adrenaline GTS 11

Great fun orienteering around uni. Nice to be back here again. I knew most of the map beforehand which did ease some of the map reading. Fairly scrappy at places, but looks like not as scrappy as others.

Failed at reading map to 1..
Slight hesitation to 6, bad exit taking the long way up and around the health centre to 7.
Looked too early for 9 with another guy.
Was slow up the hill to 13.
To 16 I wanted to go through to the right, realised last minute it was uncrossable so some quick thinking led me on top of the arts. Only been up there once before. Took the wrong stairs down...
At 17 the building wasn't mapped quite right, not a criticism, just the first time I've been 100% confident the map wasn't quite right. My map reading must be improving.. A quick check on google maps confirmed it.
18 only read control description on the way there, hence long way around.
19 went to north side despite looking at control descr.
Barged into a student in front of wills to 20.
Hesitation at 26.

Pushed hard cause Ifor was 1 min behind. He almost caught up, but managed a 30s cushion in the end. Fast splits came in areas I knew like the back of my hand, no need for map at those splits (fex. 22-23-24) Looks like I was sharing my fast splits with another UBOC member.
