Just the simple 4, and 2 leg-up-hill and skin massage things trying to drain the rapidly recovering ankle swelling.

Running 30:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:30 / km) +44m 7:07 / km

No beer chase for me.

Ankle no longer swollen much, but it's still pretty tender to more than a little outward rotation, or to the touch on much of the outside lower leg and foot - apparently those muscles got a bit torn last week...

So, went for a shortish run - longest since the twise - on mostly flat & paved ground, plus 500m of gravel track and probably 300m of the most visibly mowed-short, flat appearing grass I could watch really carefully.

Next run (tbd Mon or Tue) will likely include the slow figure 8's again, but this one avoided that just in case that's not helping.

Running 19:00 [1] 2.2 km (8:38 / km) +16m 8:20 / km

10 minutes out & back to 6 four-square courts, then 9 minutes of figure 8's (figure 888's ?) around those, to gently work the ankle back and forth. The pavement there's a bit old and cracked, so it's not quite as stress free as it could be to avoid rolling the ankle while doing those leans...

Found a track not far from where I was staying in Santa Cruz a managed a 10 minute mile. Barely. On a flat track. Decided that wasn't quite good enough to stick with my plan of beer chasing on Sunday.
