More blind compass navigation in a 'trail run' than I'd ever done before. Got a hand sketched paper map, and offer of $1 mini-compass (I brought my own), and at one point ,the course was described as 'turn into the woods where I park my car and wave you into the forest, then go Northeast (for a mile) to where a creek goes under this other road'. No course markings in this area. A mix of white to dark green, and a few small roads here & there. None of it mapped.
