shoes: bright pink

Opted for Newy due to timing constraints ie lateness and the push to do a proper warm up so hopefully it would pay dividends later. Also to support Bob G's 100th run.
Did feel comfortable and thought today might be a breakthrough day - which it was in some ways. Was very disappointed at time at Eliz cone on the way out but plan was for a different result today - and it was - and it almost was a very big breakthrough. Carmel's being there helped me too.
Saw rockman at 22 mins.

Eliz - 7:39 felt fairly good but time was way over what I thought I should be able to produce. Really slow start.
Cone - 17:19 Still hanging in there. Started the counting people trick and restarted either when I got to 50 or a new marker point. Time still not brilliant though.
Eliz -26:58 First time ever to get this far without stopping was such a shock I stopped - but really short timeframe. A couple of other small stops - but the trick is not to let the surge catch me - so keep on going.
Finish -34:30 Two too many stops in that last section but I think I am really close to doing it - AT LAST!
Negative split and more than a minute faster than last week. Still more humid than we'd all like. I think it will come very soon.

No sign of tired (more than usual) legs as a DOMS from yesterday's class nor of tightness in glutes so maybe stretching was good enough this time.

I was in so much pain i didn't realise how quickly the time passed. Strangely the running got easier - no that's not right - for me it's not strange. Might try 2xTrots track next time.

Hot and hard - but not as bad if I left it until tomorrow

Very flat, very open a little bit hot and not a lot of thinking required. Criss crossed the ovals and then the ponds and then it was over.
Despite there being 27 controls the speedy boys had plenty of opportunity to get up a full head of steam, so my hope for 50% wasn't on the cards..

Usual instructor off for 3 weeks on honeymoon so fill in Lewis. Had previous experience with him - talks non stop but does a really strong class - and so it was. Really enjoyed the session - just wish he had a mute button!

Seems like my "rough" feelings this morning was related to undereating yesterday as well as some poor sleep over the past few nights.

After today any activity formerly at Intensity 5 should be relabelled 4. Was only just able to get to class but toughed it out. Started to come good about 30 mins into class and then it got really tough. Big boys piked but returned later.
So hard - can't remember much except for the partner 3 run,chest lift, burpees sector. Liked the 4 corners section, but modified forward and backward jumps.
