Felt good - first half fairly happy with but lots of little stops on last 2km.

Was a bit distracted after the early afternoon events and needing to get out and back as early as possible to hand out Newsletter (which seemed to be either well received or puzzling to some). Didn't get to each lunch until 3:45 so tummy was feeling a bit...ooommp.
Sam set a very complicated course obviously helped by the layout of the streets and picking a bountiful route proved difficult. I ended up picking quite a time efficient route though I submit my 43 seconds 'late' was due to the high knee running in the thigh-high grass which was possibly avoidable but only for giants who could see the mown sections. Quite enjoyed the hilly parts (don't tell anyone) but could not have picked any better route. Fast boy crew down by one due to injury so my usual comparisons will be adjusted. Got my 2/3 Messeng - but he's hardly in top shape!.
Presentation afterwards was great. rockman got 3rd in the Walking category!! Yay - less than a year since his return to Orienteering!! He got a Toblerone which he will consume with delight.
So ends the SSS - boo hoo but next week is Park Series - BIGGEST YAY. Best part of the year. I think I'm going to get my money's worth this year - going to do the big course.

Didn't have anything to drop nor add so pretty good selection.

Certainly feeling the effects of yesterday's upper body focused class, but managed to retain weight level, though I might have missed a couple of reps here and there. Push ups better than I thought I'd manage.

Really poor night's sleep so it was a struggle to get up, but I did.
Sleepy until I hit the class door and it was full on.
So much chop and change - keeping us busy. I wore out 1 partner so i had to do the last 20 mins on my own. run sections seemed better the more I did which is my suspicion.
Total sweat fest.

Various to and from bus in dropping and retrieving car from tyre place. Too hot to walk the whole way to Gardo and return!

Up and over the ridge to check out the local Scout Hall in preparation for Orienteering there in a month. It was water night - lots of water blasters and a few pikers in wetsuits!!! When I got home it was debatable whether I'd joined in or not. So humid.
