Note

Really pleased to get JWOC selection, gives me some real motivation to train properly this term, and should be some great racing!

To attempt to get my legs moving... Quads so so sore from yesterday's descent, but slightly more worryingly shins also pretty bad. So went for a miniscule jog to loosen up and post some letters.

From Sedburgh, up round winder, then down then very steep up to the shoulder leading up to arrant haw. up the ridge, then down and back to the top of winder, then straight off the front to sedburgh. Calves got incredibly tight, and it was chilly and hailed a couple of time... very slow down the steep descents, plus got a horrendous stitch and couldn't really breath when descending... not helpful. But glad I did it, though legs may not be up to intervals tomorrow!

Sailing (Vago Crew) 20:00 [2]

Dad was on safety boat duty so took the Vago up for the first time, took over an hour to rigg, had lunch, then took it out. Wind variable from nice with slight gusts to really squalling every so often. Unfortunately got caught in a strong gust just after the race started and capsized. Water was absolutely freezing!! Abandoned the race, but did a little more, including getting the Spinnaker up to check everything worked properly.

Jog out to waterworks bridge, then 3x round the concessionary footpath loop up then down the hill, along small footpath to start, then immediately going again. Jog back.
