Easy round Cambridge and Coe Fen checking control sites. As with every time this week, as soon as I decided to go out training it started tipping it down!

Part of the way towards a hill... (and back again)

Warm up rest of the way to the hill.
Recoveries jogging down hill between reps.
Then back to bike.

Not as steep a hill as i'd have liked, but offered the opportunity to have a interval element to it, especially continuing to push right to the top as it levelled out. Decided on the way over I was going to do 6 reps, and after it turned out they were shorter than I expected, stuck to this and did them hard. In future if using this hill think i'll ease back very slightly but do more reps. Pleased with consistency of times, in fact my first was the longest! Hr got pretty high, especially considering the length of the intervals
(1:35, 1:30, 1:28, 1:31, 1:30, 1:31) Horizontal distance 320m, 22m climb (agrees with os map)

Knee bit sore from fall yesterday, so went for a cycle ride out through Madingly, Dry Denton and Oakington

Steady putting in quick accelerations when at corners etc. Felt a bit oddly out of it for some reason, but was going okay (though rather sticky mud on the bottom of my trainers was giving extra resistance!) until outwards motorway bridge where I slipped and grazed my knee and hands. And got covered by mud. Nothing to bad, but quite painful, so to be honest the rest of the run was pretty ploddish, just trying to keep form.

Very shortened stretches due to wanting to clean my cuts out. Will do some core and more stretches later.

Travelling down to Cambridge.. Long journey carrying quite a lot of stuff, felt pretty tired! Quads still pretty sore.

Really pleased to get JWOC selection, gives me some real motivation to train properly this term, and should be some great racing!

To attempt to get my legs moving... Quads so so sore from yesterday's descent, but slightly more worryingly shins also pretty bad. So went for a miniscule jog to loosen up and post some letters.
