biking 2:07:00 [2] 29.0 km (4:23 / km) +400m 4:06 / km

Bike ride on the road and trails of Seymour Valley with Magnus. Not too many people out in the forest. Went all the way to the Hatchery to see little salmon having lunch. Very nice light and views with snow right above us. Seymour Road, Coho trail, Road again, fun Hydraulic connector down, the whole Fisherman's trail with a very long boardwalk and the lovely Homestead trail up. Stop for coffee at the End of the Line and up the hill home.

Club Run 101. Finally made it to a club run. Ran with Alison and Zoltan. It is very nice to run more than 1km of a continuous flat trail. Will have to come more often.

orienteering 2:39:10 [3] 20.3 km (7:50 / km) +500m 6:59 / km

North Shore Long Distance O-event without the rain. Started very late because I was helping with the registration. Very far and very hilly...
Had fun in the forest part and did pretty well all the way to control 11 (the ridge), where my time was 1:09. Then I took the more scenic but slower route choice to number 12 ( do not know these trails well enough...?). Too many stairways and tourists on the way. After number 13 I seriously ran out of the calories and started to think only about food. The rest of the course (still 9 k to go) I jogged with these questions in my head: "Where could I eat something, who lives on the route choice, is it too far to my house or let's just keep going?"
Ended up visiting a community Centre (almost on the route choice, 18 to 19) to at least drink from a water fountain - located at an ice ring, everyone was having skates on, I looked very out of place. Finished somehow the course.
Great day and a lot of people came out (around 80).
Lesson learned: Eat! or carry a power bar!
