Lovely spin around the Kelso trails. Haven't ridden there in awhile and it was fun to ride new / re-routed stuff. It was surprisingly quiet there given what a beautiful night it was!

Trekking/Hiking 1:00:00 [2]

One of my favourite Earl-venture routines is to earn my Sunday breakfast by going out to do something early, post-coffee, pre-breakfast potato. Saugeen Bluffs has a network of trails so I went out for a morning hike to check them out, as I'm trying to minimize running for a bit to see if my Achilles calms down. The trails were not particularly well-marked, and at one point I thought I was going to regret not bringing my phone, but eventually I found my way back to the river. This is a neat little park that I'd definitely return to.

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Stopped at Brant Tract on my way home for a short ride. The bike I had brought with me had skinny slick tires on it which I knew would not bode well for what was likely to be mucky singletrack. I tried to stick to doubletrack trails around the exterior, but as often happens to me when my brain and my heart disagree, I soon ended up carrying my bike through swampy, mucky ATV trails and making guesses at unmarked intersections. Brain says: turn around, this is dumb. Heart says: but who knows what is up ahead, it might get better! Heart usually wins. :-D

This turned into a bit more of adventure than I bargained for but I was happy to have seen it through!
