Orienteering (Score Picnic Point) 33:42 [4]

Short Pairs score event. Ran quite a bit of this and did ok. Was very hot but nice to finish. We ended up third. Not bad.

First orienteering for the season. Walked most of the way and didn't make any errors! Managed to win a cake for the fastest female on the short leg.
Put out and collected the night controls too. Walked for most of that between car hopping.

At year 11 school camp managed to go down to the indoor 25 metre pool and get in some laps. Ok but developed a severe muscle cramp in my calf muscle which hindered me from completing the whole 2 km.

500 without flippers;200 f/s/with flippers;100 kickboard;400 f/s/with flippers;200 kickboard; 500 without flippers. I have taught myself to bilateral breath. Slower pace but it is early days coming back into the swimming. Less stressful on my back though. Got a cramp in my calf. at 19th lap. had to rest for last 100.

Helping Nick check control sites for SL in March. Surprisingly we didn't get wet...from rain only sweat very humid. The forest is.. beautiful. Some great cliffs and bits of rock. I actually felt a spring in my step less effort required to lift left leg. hope that's a good sign...still a bit of numbness in toes of right foot though. Hammies caned on way home in car and left buttock ache.

1km swim put my flippers on after 200m. Much faster then. 100m poolwalk and then 400m with a rest in between. Starting to build up now. The pool was very hot felt like a bath and I wanted to ask them to put some cold in!

Well I did 100 pace walk followed by 50 pace jog followed by 100 pace walk. Did this for a while around the oval maybe for about 3-4 laps didn't really count. Starting to put some running into my training now.

Had to abort this session due to getting there late and being pushed out by the squaddies and school swim carnival. Schools have got to book in at night now. Felt lacking in energy anyway so wasn't much of a sacrifice.

Walk over to North Avoca and back up coast road. Memorial run today for all the lost trotters from the past 20 odd years. The rain held off which was good.

At the Myuna Bay camp pool 25m and did bilateral breathing for most it. Pretty slow but good to swim before all the kids woke up. Included some poolwalking.

Two sessions of about 10 minutes each. Had a break as I had to dodge the kids year 10 playing ball in the pool. Still nice though!
