Orienteering (L2 middle distance) 50:20 [3]

tried to run a bit harder today which was fine on the downs and flats but still couldn't really do ups!
really fun course and quite different to the other sessions with more green, yellow and rocks. made a small mistake cutting through the green to 3 (here the green was dense and spikey and therefore v slow) lost prob 15s then lost another 20s going to 4 by not being straight enough.
was slightly too high up on a pit later on in the course but my distance judgement was working well and stopped directly above it. 20s. biggest mistake was when my head got too tired and i didn't take a good enough bearing down the hill to (typically) the one gg and oli were at. 20s.
pretty pleased though and feeling better again so will have a rest day tomorrow and then start training properly :)
the camp was really good and feel like i've learned alot about what i need to do over the winter so mission accomplished!

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

actually did some warming up today and a little bit of warming down (although warming up after was more appropriate - chilly day!)

Orienteering (half of N21B1 long final) 50:00 [2]

ran the first half of the course. tried a bit harder than yesterday but still had to walk on the ups to prevent dieing. started off really well and took good routes, but then got tired. Ran straight to 5 and round could have been better. should have gone round the bottom of the green to 7 but tried to go straighter and ran across the ride without seeing it and had to double back. then walked down the hill to 8. jogged part way along the road back then had to walk as was too tired - lucky i didn't try to do any more of the course!
tricks for the terrain are definately compass compass compass (and to be aware of slingshotting).
wasn't as special terrain as i was expecting, but it was really good fun. dont think the orienteering is that difficult so going to have to get super fit over the winter...

Orienteering (L1) 1:17:00 [2]

hungarian long Q.
jogged the flat and the downhill and walked the ups. Kept my heart rate under 160 (which meant i had to walk on the up hills!)
really glad to be in the terrain and it was a really fun course and area. inspired to aim for the long at woc next year.
died a bit around 50 mins and almost made a mistake, but managed not to :) think my routes were ok, but were slightly swayed by the fact i wasn't running fast.
