Trying to taper a bit so did a flat run out to Lake G and around most of the lake, then reversed direction. Played around with my running a bit trying to get into a good cadence and pace. Shouldn't over think it and just go with the flow.

Parkrun at Ginninderra and my 100th! And to celebrate they put on a new course - that and trying to reduce the congestion at the start. The main difference is crossing under the bridge to use the northern bike path to cross which is wider and has a nice gradual slope to get up rather than the short steep pinch on the southern side. Only MaryMac and 150+ of our PK friends today. All the km points are different now so it will take a couple of runs to get used to where they are but a GPS watch helps. I felt like there was a lot of people in front of me very quickly but once things settled down I started passing a few. As we looped back under the bridge I gave MaryMac a wave as she passed overhead so that was fun. I tried to keep a good steady pace but I think my 4th km was a bit slow. Will work on that next time. Lovely conditions for running.

Walk with MaryMac to Mt Painter at 5am to watch the 'lunar occultation of Venus'. Unfortunately the clouds put an end to seeing it but there will be another in 50 years so we stand a slim chance of seeing it - probably be cloudy then too.

A very average run around Aranda. Felt extremely light headed for the first 20 mins but that seemed to pass. The Cascade Light after work may have contributed a bit but not sure.

Run from home after work. Along the bike path to Cook saddle, having a quick chat to Detective Frogga on his bike ride home after work. Into Aranda Bushlands, then onto some Black Mt trails, including a loop around Little Blackie, crossing paths with Johnny Bazorak, then through the middle and finally back home via Aranda.

Run from home in the cool overcast conditions. Thought I would head down to LBG to check out the Sri Chinmoy 10km race. Crossed onto the bike path and no runners so thought the course had been changed so headed towards Civic. After about 500m came across the 4km/6km signs and not long after that the leading runners were coming towards me, including acejase sitting in 4th. I kept on going to the finish at Acton with some doubling back a couple of times to fill in the time until the leading runners returned. Since I had done my planned distance I got a lift back to 2B10 with acejase for coffee and we were eventually joined by MaryMac at the end of her 2hr run - made me feel like a shirker, or leaner. Acejase did a bit of bagging about us being in the latest 2B10 Facebook cover photo, although it was my 4th day in a row being there so maybe he has a point. Got quizzed by acejase on marathon plans - goals, pacing, shoes, nutrition, course knowledge, mental state, etc. Seemed to pass.
