Spin / Bike Trainer 1:05:00 [4]
ahr:133 max:166

The plan was to XC ski. However, upon arriving at Plateau des Glieres at 1,350m or so, I loosely understood that the trails were closed as they were too dangerous. Huh?!? It was chucking with rain from time to time and a thaw was definitely ongoing after last weekend's dump. I couldn't quite figure out why XC trails would be closed. So, I burned back home, grabbed my classic set up, and drove to the plow end on the backside of the Veyrier...only to see that the metre or so of snow had almost disappeared stemming from the rain. F%^&*(!!! Back home again, got out the spinning kit and went for it. Skiing just wasn't meant to be today...

Core Workout 1:00:00 [1]

Stretch that %^&'n right hammer out with a twisty yoga session.

Core Workout 1:00:00 [1]

Had planned on an after work mission on my classic skis but the p!ss!ng rain kind of spoiled that plan. So, fired up a yoga session instead.

Trail Run 1:20:00 [2]
shoes: Salomon XR Crossmax CS Neutral

Definitely the wrong shoes for this snowy run on the Veyrier. I wanted to check out where the plow ended and where XC ski opportunities began. As it turns out, I think I'll have a bit of classic terrain to conquer. I made my way up to Pre Vernet and then booked it downhill through the calf deep snow. Good fun until I hit the proper trail...it got stupid slippery and it's a little perilous for just the Crossmax. I needed SpikeCross as it was safer to bushwhack down the steep pitch then go on the trail in places.
