Mtn Bike 4:30:00 [3] 90.0 km (3:00 / km)

The aim was to do a century but we came up a little short. However, this session seemed a lot more taxing on the legs than last week's. Caledon's got lots of hills so Leanimal and I attacked them hard - the E-Fix is supposed to have a sha-storm of hills so we need the practice. Not too cold but we were bundled up quite a bit. Very sleepy now...

Road Ride 1:00:00 [3]

First AM ride to work. Drove to the 400 to shave some of the 50 km off which made it much less daunting a task - no excuse to do it more often now....other than how boring the ride is of course.

Road Ride 1:15:00 [3]

The ride back to the car was significantly slower and COLDER from the arctic-like wind that was in my face the whole way.

The killer arms session of the LRG4 programme...typing was a challenge after this!

Trail Run 1:00:00 [3]

Felt like a 4 to start with after the epic on Sunday - not to mention the mud bath that is the HVHTA trail. The mud softens you up a little while the sporadic ice patches challenge your ability to stay vertical. The XT Wings aren't looking so red at the moment...

Road Run 2:25:00 [3]

The longest training run ever for me today. Leanimal and I headed to 8th line, parked the car and ran north. We ran until we were just south of Mount St Louis then turned west to 7th line. Busted a left and headed south to the car again. We stuck to dirt roads as they were perfect for running on - nice and soft with no snow and minimal puddles. Gloriously sunny day and it really felt like spring...finally! The wheels fell off around the 2h mark and we managed to run/walk our way back to the car with all sorts of groaning about how much it hurt the hip flexors, knees, you name it. Now it's nap time...
