Tour of some of the local climbs. Warm up was down Airport Way a bit and then the ski hill, then up the parkway as far as I could go. Made it to 10km where there was a couple snow patches. Walked across those (learned that my cleats stop working completely with snow in them) and rode another km or so almost to the SNowforest lookout. Beyond that may take a while still but pretty early to make it that high. The across to Hwy23S and Clough Road (which turns out is 12-13% the whole way).

Mountain biking on the lower Begbie Bench trails. Mainly was testing out a loop for the next race and then a few extra loops on quarry and chair to see if it was worth adding them to the race.

CLimbing feels slow on the mtb although I think the heavy tires I have on it right now play a role.

First twoonie road ride of the year. Only about 12 people out and the group ended up being 6-7 for the most part. Periodically would attack randomly for a bit as I was looking for a work out. Tried an attack from almost a KM out on the first sprint - almost worked. The second lap was quite interesting as Chris and Kellen took off as we dawdled on the turn around. We had to maintain a steady pace to keep them in sight although decided we would keep them a few hundred meters in front to make them work. I felt quite strong on the flats and had some good pulls. We caught them about 5km out and ended up in a group sprint. I sat on wheels for this one and ended up 3rd behind Stuart and Kellen.

Stimuls in both directions. my mountain bike felt so heavy after road biking for two weeks. So much fun though...
