Bike 2:30:00 intensity: (1:30:00 @2) + (1:00:00 @3) +625m

Rode from home to Griffith Ck and met the gang (Kevin, Atsuko, Courtney, Catherine and Andrea). Rode a few loops on the trails (Flowdown,Berm Donor, Dusty Beaver, Tantrum). Out for about 2 hours, then rode home.

Bike (Road) 2:30:00 [3] 55.0 km (22.0 kph) +1400m

Afternoon ride with Brook up the parkway. It was open all the way to the top - must have just happenend within the last day or two. Steady pace but legs got tired towards the end. 1:41 to the top.

Run 1:02:00 intensity: (42:00 @2) + (10:00 @4) + (10:00 @5) 10.0 km (6:12 / km) +300m 5:23 / km
shoes: La Sportiva Raptor

15 min warm up then max effort up the ski jump. Set a PB on the climb but it hurt, especially near the top. Easy down then tempo around the 2 km loop (which is actually 1.25 km) at about 4 min km. Also did a downhill tempo section as well. The got stuck behind a train which didn't move for over 20 minutes so had to extend the run a bit and eventually decided to break the law and crossed at an uncontrolled spot.

Taking down the race signs with CO and Carbon, plus an extra loop on Toadschool.

Bike 1:31:00 intensity: (40:00 @2) + (51:00 @4) 22.0 km (14.5 kph) +550m

Third twoonie race. One lap setting up the course and then two laps of racing. Was surprised to be in the lead when we entered the first singletrack section and actually seemed to increase the lead through the first section of Stimulus. Wasn't sure if I was going out too fast or if the other guys were pacing themselves. Didn't feel too bad so kept things up. Seemed to gain some time on the TNT descent but then Brendan and Lee seemed to catch up on Roadway Ramble. Lee passed me heading to Stimulus and although I reeled him in on the singeltrack he again inched away on the road. Brendan passed me as well. I think they were about 15 seconds in front heading into Black Forest but I proceeded to crash twice due to going really fast in a hypoxic state. This probably cost me 30 seconds and I lost sight of them finishing about a minute behind. Bike was making some weird noises tonight. Felt pretty good though. Time is almost 5 minutes faster than last year. Was post xterrra last year and conditions may be drier this year but still a good jump in speed.

A few loops at MacPherson with Courtney. Some fun descents down Flowdown and Dusty Beaver.

Hike 3:00:00 [2] 9.0 km (20:00 / km) +950m 13:05 / km
shoes: La Sportiva Raptor

First hike into the alpine this year with Courtney and my parents. Went up Avalanche Crest and really not too much snow on the trail at all. Some guy in the parking lot discouraged us from going as secondhand he had heard about knee deep snow up there but really we only had to cross two bigger snow patches. South facing trail so was expecting that it should be in decent shape. Earlier start which was a good idea since it was warm (34 degrees).

As an aside why does google+ not have an embed link? Ridiculous - I wonder how long I will be able to use the old picasa interface?

Hike 1:30:00 [2] 5.0 km (18:00 / km) +400m 12:51 / km
shoes: La Sportiva Raptor

Crowbar from the river up to the creek with Courtney and my parents. Humid and buggy. Found a nice cliff viewpoint near the creek that I had never been too. Can't believe that I never noticed it after all the times that I've hiked up it.

Bike 40:00 [1] 15.0 km (22.5 kph) +100m

Easy ride out towards the Airport and up to the ski hill with my parents.
