According to trip advisor New York has over 12000 restaurants, many of which specialise in different and less common cuisine. Last night we visited one that specialised in rice pudding. 20 flavours, no less, many with imaginative names like "sex,drugs and rocky road". Looked like it was thriving. Sett
Ed on rum and raisin and have to say it was delicious. Not sure there would be sufficient market in Melbourne, which is a pity.

Along. The forest trails around Ithaca. Beautiful scenery, and some hills.

Normally I haven't been logging the walking, but today's was worthy of recording. Did the walks up and down two of the many gorges around the area. The Watkins Glen walk was notable for the 300m of climb from the lower end to the top, with a round trip of 7km. The other was less notable with only 200m climb in an 8 k round trip.
Decided on a rest day. Felt the legs deserved a day off; and didn't want to put the sweaty running gear in the bag all day. Heading to Ithaca and the finger lakes for a couple of days.
Watched the 4 th of July fireworks from the hotel roof top last night. Very spectacular.
