For the first time since I've been here I ran a running race; Mölnlyckeloppet.
It felt really easy at the start, and I was convinced that I wasn't going out too hard. Maybe that was in comparison to 10mila though. By the end of the first lap I was starting to tire a bit. I think I was under 17 at the half.
Was all alone for most of it, and I found it tough to keep the speed up on the second lap. Started to get a stomach cramp, and I couldn't really push hard up the hills because of it. It got really bad on the downhill into the finish and I had to stop with less than a km to go. The 4th place guy passed me here. I tried to latch on to him, but couldn't and had to jog into the finish.
Quite frustrating, seems like I can never run a good 10k. I guess it's bound to happen when I run so few road races and always expect good times. Knee was ok, and my legs felt good the whole race.
Was a really nice course though with perfect weather. Quite hilly, but also maybe on the short side. Was cool that Strand won and nice to hang out in the sun afterwards.
