Running 50:00 [3] 4.1 mi (12:12 / mi)
shoes: Salomon XR Mission 1

Stupid Garmin was freezing up on the start screen (?), so no data other than the approximate mileage that I got when I drove the route later, and a total guess on the time. It was a balmy 13 degrees out so I decided to go for a run in between the present opening and when the rest of the family was going to arrive for Christmas breakfast. It snowed about 5 inches over night, and was snowing these really light fluffy snowflakes while I was running (the Microspikes worked like a charm again - love those things!) I also love how everything is so quiet when it's snowing. Hoped for a little more time to run, but the family was waiting! Beautiful and peaceful morning for a run :)

Note

I was going to go out for another run this morning until I saw that it was -9 degrees out :( I draw the line at sub zero arctic temps! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Running 36:00 [3] 3.26 mi (11:03 / mi)

Time and mileage are approximate as I forgot to start the Garmin until about .75 miles into the run. A nice snowy run to, around, and back from my old neighborhood where I grew up. It's amazing how "big" everything seemed when you were a kid. I distinctly remember feeling like the other side of the sub-division was at least a 100 miles away! Anyway, a great run down memory lane. Really enjoyed it even though it was 4 degrees. Wore my microspikes to eliminate slipping, and they worked perfectly. Met a few other brave runners out there also.
