Adventure Bike 2:24:00 [3] 31.74 mi (13.2 mph)

Wet weekend ahead, so I took my bike stuff to work. I intended to bail out an hour early for my ride, but was wallowing in a juggling act of balancing purchase orders/sales orders with with inventory and other random numbers so didn't get out on the road until after 5 pm.

This was a great route on the gravel east of Tilbury. I even rode on the old railway bed for a short distance (a fat bike would be much more appropriate as a gravel company is in the process of removing the stone, so it is very rough and mostly covered with very large "gravel"). This route could easily be doubled or tripled and not ride the same road twice (other than the last mile or so). Less than a quarter mile of pavement (which was the road our office is on, so really can't be avoided).
Capris and long socks......

Really fast stuff in intervals......and trying to go fast with heavy resistance.

Adventure Bike hills 50:00 [3] 9.6 mi (11.5 mph)

It was snowing at lunchtime today but the sky brightened up by 5 pm. Oddly enough it warmed up to 15C in Windsor at 6 pm!
4 rides up the gravel hill and 1.5 up the Steep Side. The half was from half way up, which is the steepest bit anyways. And some single track and a couple loops on the pavement around the base.

Resistance and cadence work. So quite the sweat fest.

Adventure Bike hills (Gravel) 2:19:00 [3] 25.09 mi (10.8 mph)

Moving time was 2 hr 3 minutes. We stopped to check out the newly signed nature preserve and the old, old cemetery. And I had to check the map a couple times.
We have to drive 1.5 hr to start to get to hills and 2 hr to get into some hilly gravel. So we did. There were lake effect flurries and geez that was a cold NW wind. And geez, we need to do more hills. Especially into the wind. They certainly were easier with a tail wind (obviously).
At least the sun was shining for the second half of the ride. We saw a herd of deer grazing on a wheat field 'way back by the woods. And a few turkeys.
And no weird noises/vibrations from my bike (although the rider might have been groaning a bit).
