orienteering 50:00 [3]

last junior training!!! what a blast!!!! interval-ish course through pinhey forest. super dee duper fast, but still not quite fast enough to come even close to the speedsters (though robbie technically isn't a junior so he doesn't count :P)
i also picked up controls at the end.

orienteering race 42:55 [4]
ahr:180 max:191

crazy score-o!!! holy macaroni!!! was planning on marking my route on the map within the one minute we're given before the clock starts, but 45sec of that was me trying to get my pen to work. oooh shucks. so the last 15sec i was able to plan half of the course but planning the other half i had to do on the run. this caused me to mess up my route on one part of the course which also, in turn meant that it took me more time cause i had to do some doubling back to get a control. what a bummer. still had a lot of fun though!!! super dee duper fast running though it was mostly trails and really great navigating for the most part!!! just a splendid night!! :)

running 24:23 [3] 5.6 km (4:21 / km)
ahr:176 max:203

holy macaroni!! so incredibly hard to drag myself out of bed this morning. i actually half dreamed myself turning off my alarm, rolling over, and falling back asleep... but then i rolled out of bed instead. a surprisingly good time for being so sleep deprived and hungry!! started out slow but then picked it up cause i looked at my watch and saw a surprisingly good split time. this was my motivation to push harder for the rest of the loop. great way to start off the day!!!!

running 20:34 [3]
ahr:157 max:193

only time i had to day to train was while running to the library in the pouring rain. so. much. fun... :P no it really wasn't that bad, and since it was for such a short time i really made it count. on the way there i was about 10:26 and it was all the downhill parts. but then on the way back i was just over 10 and it was all uphill!!!!! alright!!!!!

orienteering race 1:06:00 [3]
ahr:167 max:183

Kanata Lakes map. not too shabby!! :) all of the controls were spectacular escept for 6, 7, and 8. just totally wacked on those which ruined my time but i still had a lot of fun. the woods were soooooo nice and runnable!!! the last half i could really boogie minus the part where i had to tiptoe across the logs through this swamp. :P oh well.
