"Chop till you drop" on air till you ran out, then mask only. This means chopping a telephone pole with an axe or sledge repeatedly. Good times. Also mixed with "making cookies" on the beach...rolling the sand with telephone poles. I'm just gonna go ahead and say it. My workout was harder than your workout.

Fire 3:00:00 [3]

Very physically demanding day. 2 victim rescues from the basement, hose advance to 2nd floor, lots of ladders. Basically was at complete muscle failure by the end of too many ladder unsupported ladder throws in a row (throw 24' solo to make it free stand on concrete without sliding while getting it vertical).

Took the dogs on their inaugural camping trip. As we were heading to the meet start from the campground, got a warning from the park ranger for Rico not being on a leash. Which made me paranoid, and I kept him on a leash for the course. Dusty had Maya, so I couldn't pawn him off. He clotheslined himself on every tree he could. Shot too far south on 2 and spent too much time reorienting myself. Caught up to D at 5, and we travelled together for the duration. It wasn't really feasible to run off trail with the dogs, so it ended up being mostly a hike. My body was happier for it. Back, neck, and knees have been taking a beating in fire school. As a side note, I ran through some weird guys playing out a medieval fight scene in a group camp. One gentleman with fake blood all over his face came up to me and asked me to go around "their space." Random.

Note to self: no more dogs at meets in national parks.
