Biking (Mountain ) 1:00:00 [2] 11.25 km (5:20 / km) +300m 4:42 / km
weight:66kg shoes: Instinct 2021 March overhaul

Lunch hour ride on Horseshoe and G8 with Melissa. Did the two lower slabs, they weren’t as steep or intimidating as I remember the first time. Then over to G8. We thought we heard some blasting on the way over so we decided to stick to the legal part of trail that is still open rather than riding the full original loop which gets close to the mine and has now been closed.

Running (Road) 55:00 [3] 7.7 km (7:09 / km)
shoes: Hoka Stinson 3

Birthday run for Melissa. Sometimes fast. Knee seemed fine with it.

Biking (Mountain ) 1:30:00 [2] 9.6 km (9:22 / km) +320m 8:02 / km
shoes: Instinct 2021 March overhaul

Guy Lafleur trail with Gary and Simon. Feeling a bit out of shape on some of the punchy climbs and/or in need of a rest day. But can’t rest when these last days of riding are good :)
Fun to get out again, and in nice temperatures.

Biking (Mountain ) 2:15:00 [2] 21.0 km (6:26 / km) +400m 5:52 / km
weight:66.4kg shoes: Instinct 2021 March overhaul

Topp Notch and Return of the Jedi with Gary, then we decided to add the full Toe - Coastline - Spine loop counterclockwise. Might try clockwise next time but it’s always a trade off of swapping the descents for climbs. Rideable either way although some corners have been built to be fun going clockwise.
Enjoying squeezing in all these late-season rides while we can.

Note

Physio visit. Discussed a few clicks, pops and minor pains. Lynne tested the knee/ligament graft and it is good. Also tested the meniscus (because of pops and pains/discomforts) and it is good. Quad engagement is good. She thinks the pops and pains may be coming from kneecap tracking and lesions that were observed during surgery scoping behind the kneecap.
Added a few exercises to start getting ready for skiing. Steps/hops onto and across bosu (3 x 1 min). Hamstring curls on ball with single leg (can stop double leg); can cross arms across torso once this becomes easy. Will also add some weights to squats; alternate heavy weights and low reps one day versus lighter weight and more reps the next day I do my exercises.
Can add some jumps (to third stair) and single leg drops (one full stair).
Can add ski machine but hold onto something.
Flexion 130 degrees left, 140 degrees right.
Finished with some acupuncture.
Do another visit before I start XC skiing. Lynne recommended I wear my brace when I start XC skiing.

Running (trail) 1:05:00 [2] 8.1 km (8:01 / km) +250m 6:57 / km
shoes: Hoka Stinson 3

Guy Lafleur trail with Canmore Trail Culture. Ran with the mid-caff group and it was fine. Put myself near the back in case I would be slower on anything but probably didn't need to. Was a little cautious with all the roots at first but then didn't seem to notice them later. Did have two big trips including one that had me doing three really hard hops on the left leg to stay upright and all was good, knee felt strong.
Dropped my pace a little on the way back so that folks with poor headlamps could follow me as it got dark near the end.
