Setting controls at Lynn Woods.
Some walking, some running. Stopped my watch when I stopped to hang tape.

Running (mostly hard surfaces) 1:06:34 [3] 8.0 mi (8:19 / mi)
ahr:157

Went out for just a 3-mile jog along the river, then felt good and decided to go longer! Got to the point where I felt super smooth and a longer stride felt really natural:)

It was also somewhat progressive. For reference, I think my easy run HR is around 160 or 165.

Includes 4 strides at the end.

orienteering (Suburban Adventure Run) 1:29:43 [2] ** 8.61 mi (10:25 / mi) +170m 9:49 / mi
ahr:145 spiked:12/13c

NEOC meet! Great way to get in a long run. Legs were reeeeeally heavy, and so were Izzy's. We concluded it was the bike ride over.

cycling 50:00 [2]

Logging entire ride to meet and back because my legs felt like rubber when I got there. Tired after coming back, too. Maybe because it was hilly.

Running (mostly hard surfaces) 55:02 [3] 6.12 mi (9:00 / mi) +84m 8:37 / mi
ahr:152

Home from lab, getting ready to pack up and move the last of my stuff to Cambridge!

cycling 21:00 [2]

Smart enough to ride my bike into work so I didn't have to move it from Newton!
(logging half)

To Cambridge to meet Barb's neighbors! Staying with them for the first few weeks until Izzy's brother goes to college:)

Time includes 4 strides.

cycling 20:00 [2]

Half my commute. Finally got to the point where I can get up Chestnut Hill without standing up out of the saddle! Woohoo!

orienteering 28:49 [3] *** 2.98 km (9:40 / km)
spiked:27/30c

O' in morning before work since I didn't have time to fit everything in after work since I wanted to go to folk dancing in Copley after work:) Normally I don't believe in doubles, but
a) I'm trying to be better about letting my training work with my social life, and
b) I feel like doubles work better for O' than they do for running.
Maybe I'll try some more and see if I like them!

This was part of the control-picking Alexei had me do awhile ago.
