Got my new orthotics today and boy do they feel wierd! But it's a good wierd and apparently does quite a bit more correcting than my old ones. It'll take some time to transition into them though...

Took Emily to run in the Garden of the Gods for her (almost) first time! The thunderstorms from earlier in the afternoon had cleared out and it was perfect for running.

Afterwards we went downtown to watch the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Parade! Very cool and lots of horses, her favorite...!

One word to describe this ride:

EPIC!!!!!

I rode from my house to the Stratton Open space trail head where I met up with Richard and Lewis. We then rode up the Chutes to Gold Camp Road. Gold Camp all the way up to Old Stage. Old Stage to Jone's Park and then all downhill... Down, Jone's, Captain Jacks, and finally down the Chutes. Chipotle burritos were consumed shortly thereafter and now, after hanging out with Emily for a bit, I'm going to pass out on the couch until the day after tomorrow...! ;-)

It was an amazing, incredible, challenging, beautiful ride...!!!!! Epic.

Another good run! I tried to totally focus on keeping my lower back muscles flexed and active while running and now, afterwards, I barely feel a thing in my hip. I'm still keeping those lower back muscles active and it's definitely helping...

Now I have to make it habitual to stand up straight while running, as well as at all other times!
