Paddle 2:10:46 [3] 15.7 km (8:20 / km)

Team training with Goose. He was kind enough to make arrangements at home so we could have a day up here.

Newsflash! This man can paddle! Upstream from Heathcote to Epping and then back. Quick transition which included a stop at the black bird pie company and onto the bikes we went.

biking 1:51:07 [3] 36.8 km (19.9 kph)

From Heathcote to Oldmail road (I've always wanted to explore the entire road), 3rd Sideroad, 7th line and home via 13 and Epping.

Excellent morning and lots of great chats. Another quick stop for BT no. 2 (we will call this a break even workout) and Goose was back on the road before 1:30. Talk about an efficient morning.

biking 2:58:31 [3] 48.67 mi (16.4 mph)

3x the grind with Ms. J. I fell clipped in and ended up on my back like a turtle. How embarrassing.

So happy to hear she is training for Maui (probably more than she is!!).

It's smoking hot here.

Paddle 3:00:00 [2]

Full day of whitewater on the Blanchard/Tatshenshini River. Whoa, Nelly! A few spills - some with purpose and some with error.

Beautiful day and harps will be happy to know that my wetsuit transition was not even a tiny bit traumatic this time.

Chilkoot Trail. Amazing day, STUNNING scenery, excellent company and capped off the run with a boat ride back to base camp which included: sandwiches, Chilkoot beer, chips and trolling.

THE most scenic trail run.

trail run race 4:40:00 [4] 42.0 km (6:40 / km)

Hard effort on tired legs. But I must own even my poor life decisions.

I told Bob about my race strategy: "I'm going to go as hard as I can right off the bat and see what happens." He chuckled and said, "doooooo it!"

I lasted 16km and then suffered with GI issues. It wasn't fun but it was the prettiest race I've ever done...by a million miles and I even got chocked up at one point because it was so pretty! This is a must run, youguys!

Looking oh so forward to the Chilkoot trail next week where Greg will carry everything I own while I survive.

(Bash, you would have love the margarita aid station.)
