My preference for it improves if I drink less water and am actually quite thirsty. Keep telling yourself how good it is for you. ( I still prefer black, with milk).
Green Chai is addictive. If you like chai. There is a loose leaf green chai in a box, called 'Rainbow' - just delightful. Perhaps it isn't as good for you as normal green tea but man, it is sooo good!
make it less strong. over-brewed green tea is gross. one tea bag is enough for a large pot.
I've realised that it has to be drunk quite hot otherwise the bitterness becomes unpalatable.
if its bitter then its too strong.
The smell of coffee is driving me nuts. I am diligently drinking green tea (and fish oil, and iron tonic), but I really miss coffee. Might have to think about that one for hiking in Tas - is coffee worse black or drunk with powdered milk?
Why are you off coffee? Does it undo good of green tea? I just drink green tea as well as my two proper coffees! But as you know I always seem to have room for another hot drink.
Green tea contains caffeine too, you know!
How much do you know? I was working on benefits of green tea out -weighed a bit of extra caffeine . Not that I was basing that on anything!
Er...roughly about 30mg compared to 50mg in black tea. After all, they are from the same plant. But then it also depends on how long it is brewed and which part of the plant the leaves come from. Who thought that I would need to know this stuff!
I'm impressed. Is it about 120 mg caffeine in a real coffee? I've forgotten.
About that. Could be as little as 70mg in instant. Funny but I am not missing coffee as much now. Don't think the green tea is doing much good though. And I probably smell like fish (oil).
