NIce day of recovery...walking 5 miles around Manhattan. Then catching the Flushing train and walking a final two miles through Queens, across Ditmars Blvd. and Grand Central Pkwy to your gate. Hope you had a glass of wine in one of the great NYC bars you passed along the way, to celebrate...and to ease the pain.

Sorry to see you becoming a two-car family again. In another couple of years will there be a third car in the driveway for Yaya?

Well, we're really still a 1 car family as the WRX is disabled. I do intend to fix it sometime in the next couple months, but I don't see any reason why it would get substantial use until this assignment ends (currently August; might be longer). The TDi will likely become Yaya's car when the time comes, but that's sill at least 7 years off, not 2.

As for the walk, yes, it was an excellent way to both loosen up and also deal with the disappointment of the conditions. Had lunch with my old priest who is now stationed at Trinity on Wall Street (no, I didn't walk all the way down there, she met me in Midtown) and just took in a really fine day. No wine. Did have a Fat Tire at the airport.
