... how fresh your legs will be when you start running again, and how nice it will be if you don't have hip pain :) Although every other muscle in your body might be sore from all the pilates etc I imagine you are going to do (or you could just have a break - in my experience physio exercises tend to take a lot of time!). Did you join the Blackwood gym?

Yep - Blackwood Gym. It's cheap and close to home so hopefully I'll get my $250 worth over 12 months. I don't really mind taking a break from running - I'll just miss spending time with running buddies and that nice feeling of running along a single track in the damp bush.
The physio suggested that I continue using my high bounce balls to release my glute muscles and piriformis. There are also a few stretches I've been doing that he told me to continue after the strengthening exercises each day.
@ biddy - I have a tour of the gym at 6:30pm, so could stay for body pump! I also need to clean the house for house inspection tomorrow... :)
