Congrats on a good result on Saturday.

Dunno how badly you've hurt yourself but the time I tried to gouge my eye out, down in the Forest of Dean, I was shattered for a couple of weeks afterwards.
(did have a general anaesthetic).
In general when having mashed myself I've gone back into training too soon, not being aware until afterwards how much it has taken out of me.
So, be aware, hurting yourself is more exhausting than you think. witht he JK just 2 weeks away be sure you don't fire in too much

Good to know. I only had a local anasthetic but I was feeling exhausted after work yesterday - put that down to the late night on Sunday (got back from A+E at 1am) but there could well be a more general reaction from my body as it starts the healing process.

all depends if the injury is more than superficial - assuming you banged your head then the wound is just the external injury and getting it wet shouldn't be too much of a problem - the stitches are non-disolvable after all - or at least I would have thought so!
The underlying head injury is the thing that causes the fatigue and if you train too soon you might find you prolong the problem. You'll know because you'll feel crap and you might get visual symptoms or feel wobbly on your feet or get exercise associated headaches.
You may of course be fine - all depends on the hardness of the knock! You will need to listen to your body and see.
Any probs feel free to ask. Hope you're back to running soon!
