hey mate, just having a family discussion.... do u think ur route choice from 7-8 was the best route taking into account the fact that its mid-course and looks to be a pretty big climb! all thoughts would be good! and wat did u do kieran? cheers

Well given how shit the terrain is for running the track option gives you the freedom to absolutely smash yourself whilst not having to worry about navigating around all the thick stuff. and also that climb wasn't to bad cause i managed to push myself up it pretty hard and then still had plenty of energy left. So i think it was the best route.

i went almost an identical route to what olly did. the climb wasnt that severe (40m in the space of about 400m) and once you get up the top it was possible to just run and plan the rest of the course (esp. the next long leg) so i figured overall it was going to be faster over the top which im sure it was.

we thought out to the left onto the track and 3/4s of the way along the 2nd clearing veer off to the right and contour around

i reckon timewise they would be similar but you would have to navigate more on laurinas route although i woulda thought laurinas routes would have cut back a bit since james left (haha im so funny) whereas over the hill is just running.

hi guys, actually if the times for the leg completion are of a similar nature you then have to look for the route of least physical effort. i will leave it to yourselves to decide which route that is.

rob , is there any qld map that you dont think is shit? and personally i would have considered going around as hills arnt really my friends, but i would have gone up and over like olly as that would hve been the first route choice i saw and i dont like confusing my brain with options, if maybe i had more time to think, i would have gone around
