HR monitors often get screwed on the bike. I'm guessing it is something to do with the flywheel. I've found if you take the monitor off the wrist and position it as far from the wheel as possible, you can sometimes get good workout records.
Hmm... that is interesting. It isn't that critical though since I am usually just staying at a target HR and I can monitor that while I am riding since the bike picks it up.
I wonder why the flywheel affects the watch though...
I think that some of these devices regulate resistance through magnetic adhesion. Perhaps the current required and/or the electromagnetic field interferes with RF transmission. Best ask someone who has a clue. Greg?
