Thanks mate. It went fine. Watched it on the screen - fascinating to see the inside of one's knee. And also depressing to see how worn out and arthritic it is on the inside :-). But the surgeon did a good job in cleaning it up and was pretty pleased with the result. Will spend some time recuperating and then see how it responds to running!

Sounds good. Mind you I've never heard of a surgeon saying "nah did a bad job and its stuffed!";) How long till you can test it out?

I guess that is true about surgeons! At least I was watching the operation on the tv monitor and I didn't hear the surgeon say "merde" at any stage :-). I must say that I restrained myself and didn't offer helpful advice - "a bit over there you missed", "can you just clean up that bit of arthritis at the end of the femur", etc ...

Swelling going down quite quickly and hope to get out on the bike later this week. Running may take a little longer to get started.
