Biking 2:00 [2] 0.5 mi (4:00 / mi)

Figured some easy spinning would be good for hip/groin recovery after yesterday's race, but I was wrong. I couldn't really move my right leg through the range of motion required to complete revolutions of the pedal, so after a couple awkward minutes of trying, hoping things would loosen up, I had to quit.

Swimming 30:00 [2]

Fortunately, the Renaissance Chicago had a reasonable-sized pool, and if I didn't push off I was able to do some decent TI drills and then I did some hip exercises in the water as well.

Billygoat in Townsend, MA.

Ran with Luke for most of the course. He was navigating quite well to help out. More when I have the map handy...

Note
(rest day)

Didn't get up early enough to have time to fit something in before Luke's baseball game. An extra day off before the Billygoat is not the worst move.

Note
(rest day)

A well-deserved day off.

2016 Map Hike at Hunters Creek
Knocked off 10 controls on the west side of the creek, but forgot the 10th code, so I'll have to go back:
24, 23, 21, 20, 18, 14, 15, 17, 16, 22

~4:12/8:30
1:33,36,35,35,34
3:34,25

Pretty solid effort - the last 200 pim was the fastest in sometime (and a long time at Bayview) - following Luke's loss to RH, but he did manage to score 2 of the team's 3 runs from the 9-spot.

Last year's Map Hike at Chestnut Ridge
Once again there was a rogue control that had not been removed, this time C16, which, ironically, I had a lot of trouble finding initially because it is too far from the ride.

Did 23, 22, 20, 17, 16, 18, 19, 24, 25, and as a bonus, as I was going from 19 to the trail to head to 24, I happened across this year's 24.
