Running race 26:08 [5] 5.0 km (5:14 / km)
weight:173lbs

Fiesta 5K at St. Rita's, for a post-surgery PR, 44 seconds faster than the April race. Would have been more, but for the heat (already 74 when I checked at 6am). 29th of 178 overall and 2nd of 8 in M50-59. Soft field.

Splits: 8:20, 8:27, 9:21 (8:30 pace) The 3rd mile was tough, but passed enough people to keep me going, especially a guy who looked in his 50s that I ended up beating by 20 seconds.

Luke ran 24:50 for 17th place.

Zach won for his first-ever road race victory!

weight:172lbs (rest day)

We had a day of service at Delaware Park, where I mostly spread gravel and cinders. Mowed most of the lawn when I got home, but had trouble walking when I finished, so did not have an option of exercising, which was fine with the race tomorrow morning.

Running 37:09 intensity: (2:00 @1) + (30:59 @2) + (4:10 @5) 3.53 mi (10:31 / mi) +25m 10:18 / mi

Stopped in Victor for a run on trails on the way back from Luke's baseball game in Canandaigua (don't get me started on that - came back from a sizeable deficit caused by a coaching error, to lose by 1, due to a coaching error). Took a 1 minute walking break on the way out and on the way back. On the way back, I also picked it up for a half-mile, running 2:10 for the first quarter and 2:00 for the second.

Map Hike at Hunters Creek
Looks like the splits are marked just over a minute and a half after I pushed the button. Probably something to do with starting the watch before I had a signal.

First run at Whiting Rd in quite some time. Very humid out, making this a tough journey. Walked 30 secs every 5 minutes, which allowed me to take the longer route back from the Big Field.
