Run - Mixed (Lunch Loop) 26:57 [4] 5.75 km (4:41 / km) +70m 4:25 / km
(sick) shoes: Adidas Response Trail 14

Haven't been getting out the door after work, so took the running stuff to work and forced myself to leave at noon for a shortish run. Up North Hillside, mostly running on grass, then down the dirt road chasing off a few turkeys, then across Hunting Lodge and through Shelter Falls out to North Eagleville and back to Subway for a sandwich. Good hard effort, no falls.

Hiking (Cross Campus) 25:00 [1] 2.8 km (8:56 / km)
(sick) shoes: Adidas Response Trail 14

Had to attend a Sustainable Development Workshop across campus - was running tight so it was a very brisk walk, about as fast as I could without running, definitely broke a sweat getting there. Then back and past my building to the far side of F lot to the car and home.

Orienteering (Sessions Orange) 1:23:11 [1] *** 3.9 km (21:20 / km) +85m 19:14 / km
spiked:11/11c (sick) shoes: NB 474

Went to Sessions w/ Hayden - but no e-punch on W/Y so Hayden decided he was game to try a 4km Orange course. Wasn't sure how it would go, but decided to try it anyway. I did the primary navigation telling Hayden what he should be looking for as we executed each leg, but allowing him to lead each leg and coaching him to jog where appropriate and to look ahead and choose good clean routes rather than getting hung up in crap. Saw Mr. Charlie a couple times and got passed by a couple of cadets, but basically a really clean course and a pretty good pace for a year old with short legs.

Run - Trail (Bike running) 58:00 [3] 9.35 km (6:12 / km) +40m 6:04 / km
(sick) shoes: NB 474

After Sessions we hopped in the car, stopped in Burlington at Friendly's for lunch then home to collect our bikes for a 2pm Cub Scout bike event on the rail trail in Vernon. Except I discovered that the hitch reciever on the van is 90% corroded away and the risk of leaving my bike on the highway was very high. And it doesn't fit inside the van either. So a quick change into running clothes and tossed Hayden's bike in the van and off to Vernon. A group of about 20 scouts and parents out for a ride on a gorgeous day and I ran with the group, usually with the front crowd. On the way back the other Clint (leader) had some bike issues so I was put in the lead - heading downhill on the trail and trying to keep a crowd of 2nd-4th graders in some sort of order on the trail and preventing them running down the other bikers/runners and walkers out. Held a pretty good pace on the way back keeping all the boys in line behind me (and wheels nipping at my heels). It was pretty funny to see the looks on some of the folks we passed as I had a train of kids on bikes behind me trucking down the trail. Certainly not a blistering pace, but probably about as fast as I'm capable of these days. Next weekend certainly won't be a fast weekend, but if I can run cleanly, I should be able to stay in the top half of the field with my current conditioning.

I see a Lyme specialist in a few more weeks and I'm really hoping she is able to come up with something to resolve this - the overwhelming fatigue and muscle issues are really beginning to take their toll....
