-=Buffalo Orienteering Festival - Long at Sprague Brook=-

I was a bit worried about this race because when i registered to run m21 for long, i was running very strong, and it was before i got sick.
I just wanted to finish this race without making any major mistakes. I tried to pick the most solid routes, and understand the map. I stopped to check many times, and make sure i understand what i am doing.
I was very surprised by how much time i lost on my way to 10 through 15 and 14! I gave up a good half a leg just on that dumb choice to run around. About 4-5 minutes. I saw Smith when i took 10. The next time i saw him was when i was going through 15 to take 14 (another dumb idea to climb up so early), and he was at 15.
I ran alone pretty much the whole time. The course was definitely a Very fast one, it would usually benefit me, but i was not ready to catch people 2-10 minutes in front of me, nor book it down all those trails, so i ran my own race.

My first official M21 Long race at an A-Meet! =)
I would say i am pleased, except for my choices to avoid going straight through the terrain, which was definitely needed. I will work on it ;)
