Running 10:00 [3]

Dancing the hora at my sister's wedding! This wasn't actually running, but I didn't really know how else to characterize it, and there was a lot of bouncing, which is kind of like running. My ankle started feeling funny towards the end of the hora, but was mostly good.

Running with Sam, Presto, Kiwi, Luna, and Boyse at Dix Park! We successfully made it down to NC. We're here for my sister's wedding, which feels like we are living way out on the edge, but we're all vaccinated, so hopefully it will be fine. It is so, so good to see my family. We headed out for a quick run/walk to tire out the dogs. Today was 4 min run/1 min walk, and everything felt completely fine. I had Kiwi and Luna and Sam took Presto and Boyse. All the dogs had a great time out running as a pack!

Hiking with Sam and Presto up to Hawk Rock! Just a random stop on the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania on our way down to NC. It was a good way to break up the drive, and we got some nice views of the river valley. My ankle wasn't totally cool with the steep rocky descent, but otherwise it was great!

Running after not-lab! Did 3min run/1min walk x 7 today. My ankle felt great throughout. The temperature was pretty reasonable, but I wasn't quite prepared for the humidity or the pollen count. Wow. I'm not really allergic (at least not yet), but my eyes were just kind of gritty. Good to get out!

Biking up Mt. Pleasant! It was supposed to rain today, but it was sunny in the morning, so I scurried out after breakfast. It was actually warm enough for shorts (although still long sleeves) today, which was nice. Biking felt really good today, plausibly because I greased my chain, pumped up my tires, and replaced my break pads. Now I just need to figure out why my rear derailleur skips the 3rd gear when downshifting and why my front derailleur pops the chain off the crank when shifting into first gear going uphill. I ended up covered in a significant amount of bike grease! Good to get out!
