Wax check. Star roto-block medium was very good for the mid-20’s temp.

Wax ran well. VIC trails were well groomed and laid out. Major trails were generously packed by a PistenBully, dashed trails dragged a meter and half wide. A few dotted trails just had ski tracks, so they were double poled.
Route error going to 6. Had to double back for 5-6, but the approach hill climbing to 5 was plugged with people, so I kept going a few hundred meters and cut down through the woods. That cost me 4 min. Going 8-9, a possible route was to take off my skis and run up the hillside. I had started late, and saw no footprints doing that, so decided not to take a chance. Turns out some people after me did that on blue and one other on green and saved 2 min.
Then at the very end, got the string for the pin punch at 14 wrapped around my pole tip. Tried to drag it free and I had to go back and rehang the flag. That distracted me enough to miss a minor trail going up the hill. Blew past it and made the next turn, which took me in a bad direction. Cost me over 11 minutes to sort out. Very frustrating, but the trails are nice and courses were good.
Again won both US and ESG for a weekend sweep of the class.
