Green X - Splits

A mix of walking and a little jogging. I did 20 minutes at a steady pace. This was at the model map. I figured out a few things that should help tomorrow.

After posting it, I'm wondering if I really ran the first leg. Maybe I did, but maybe not. I can't quite remember. Maybe Mikell ran first and I ran 2nd? Fuzzy memory.

I'm also wondering who took the photo. No idea.

It is fun to remember how much the WOC relay has changed. Back in the day, it was 4 legs with winning times of about an hour for each leg. While they had TV coverage in 1989, the course was not designed for TV coverage. These days a significant part of the course become essentially dead running. I like watching the TV coverage these days, but I miss the idea of a longer relay with four legs.

Another nice morning jog. Another day with cool enough weather to justify a light jacket.

I mowed the lawn after work. Might be the last time this year? Or maybe once more.

Short morning headlamp jog. Chilly enough that I wore a light jacket. Lots of dew on the grass. My feet got wet.

MTB on pavement. I did some exploring and wound up at Burcham Park. Then I took the Lawrence Loop clockwise to get home.

I saw a deer standing in some shallow water at the wetlands. That was unusual.
