Testing a leg at Kill Creek. I ran the same leg three times, taking different routes. I worked hard. I don't think I was moving fast, though.

I ran in O' shoes with the Active Ankle. It rubs the heel. The shoes are better than the VJ Sarvas. I'll see if I can figure out some sort of tape or padding to make the heel ok.

running 45:00 [2]

Warming up, back to the car and jogging back to the start of each leg. I carried the map and read it a bit, but not enough to consider this O' training.

cycling 30:00 [1]

Some easy time on the trainer. I watched Mizzou football on TV. It looked like a good game (except I think Mizzou won). The cycling was the perfect warm up for my first attempt at cooking something from the cookbook my brother gave me...goat cheese and red onion quesadillas.

running 40:00 [2]

Jogging around at PNS. My ankle felt better than expected -- only a little tight/sore and getting better after I warmed up. That's really good news.

running 1:03:00 [2]

Jogging around at PNS. They had a managed deer hunt a week or so ago, so I didn't see as many eyes glowing in the light of my headlamp as usual.

running 7:00 [4]

2 x 3:30 on the flat trails at an honest effort. The idea is to see how my ankle feels tomorrow.

running 20:00 [2]

I like to make the most of non-work days. But, after feeling off during yesterday's run and waking up feeling little motivation (not to mention a fairly busy day with picking up Stephen and Annette at the airport and then a familty get together in Lawrence), I decided a short jog would be more than enough. So, I jogged around the high school.

running 50:00 [2]

On roads, trails and in the terrain at Wyandotte -- running from the car to the south end of the lake, then from the end of the O' course (near the east end of the dam) back to the car.

I have to say I didn't feel very good today.

An O' course on the east side of the lake. I set the course a few years ago. I don't remember what I was thinking at the time, but it must have been hill practice. Unfortunately, today I wasn't feeling good at climbing the hills and I was bashing around in the forest -- not smooth at all. Yesterday's run felt much better. Yesterday I was moving smoothly through the terrain.

A little time on the trainer...burning off some of the cookies from Pat.

As I'm logging this session, the google ad at the bottom of the page is "running injury pain?" Not much today.
