Backcountry skiing 6:00:00 [3] +1450m

We were expecting a large snowfall today however since I chose to bring neither the camera nor the sunscreen it snowed while we were sleeping and the day dawned sunny. Did a nice circuit past Eva Lake and up to Jade pass from the side. Once again tiring trailbreaking. Then we went and did a few laps in the trees below our camp which was very fun. Finally we had a great run out below Eva lake and then a challenging slide down the creek in slushy snow. Snow up high was great - deteriorated around 1300m.

Run 23:00 [3] 5.0 km (4:36 / km)
shoes: Asics gt 2110 #2

Along the greenbelt taking the dog for some exercise. Did 5x500m tempo sections at 1:55-2:00.

Backcountry skiing 6:00:00 [3] +1600m

A hard day of skinning up to Miller Lake in Mt Revelstoke National Park with Lucas. Conditions were spring-like at the bottom but became more winter-like pretty quickly (1300m). I broke trail all day as Lucas was feeling some hip flexor soreness and I certainly felt the effort afterwards. We built a very nice snowshelter and had a comfortable night. Temps didn't drop below -10.

Skate ski 1:20:00 [3] 20.0 km (4:00 / km) +520m 3:32 / km

Morning ski at MacPherson. I was there at 9 and conditions were still a bit firm. Not sure I'd want to go any later though. Only challenge was the downhills on the trails that had been skied alot yesterday as there were lots of frozen tracks. The outside trails were in prisitne shape. Skied everything except BCIT and lower Main loop.

Downhill Skiing 1:00:00 [2] +300m

Beautiful day. Looked like snow conditions yesterday would have been nice. I climbed up to Critical summit and then went for a wander up the ridge doing some exploring. Actually had some decent turns down into south bowl. The middle of the mountain was really crappy though, bottom was perfect sping snow. I was suprised at how chilly it was at the top.

Run 1:12:00 [2] 14.0 km (5:09 / km)

Greenbelt with the dog and then around the CPR road. Felt comfortable but fatigued today.

Strength 30:00 [3]

Strendurance D. Using more weight for most exercises but pushups still feel hard.

Bike (Trainer) 45:00 [2]

Spinervals technique workout. Good high cadence spin.

Masters swim with lots of kick and IM.

Stretching/yoga 25:00 [2]

Energy segment of the video. Actually a pretty tough core workout (or it is just a sign that my core is not strong enough).

Run 58:00 [2] 11.0 km (5:16 / km)
shoes: Asics gt 2110 #2

Greenbelt with the dog then around the school. Felt slow but not tired - weird.

Bike 1:46:00 [3] 41.5 km (23.5 kph) +300m

First outdoor ride of the year. Temps were comfortable - in fact I dressed a bit warm. Rode my mtn bike down Airport Way and then to the first bridge on the Alkolkolex FSR. The fsr was a bit spongy making progress slow.
