Morning jog with Ben around Port Elliot, everything hurt but a great weather and we even tried the water but it felt like it had come straight from the antarctic which it had.

Aus Relay - 2nd leg. Jo ran awesome as usual and came back with the lead, I wasnt sure how much it was but I didn't see anyone else coming in so it must have been a while and it was about 3 minutes to Tash. Orienteering well - hesitated a bit leaving 2 unable to decided if I was going to the track or not and then had to climb a tiny bit when I decided to go to the track. We small mistake at 8 when I ran down the wrong spur but it was just one over and the spur I ran down was pretty much on the way. Walked up the hill to 8, feeling very tired. Saw Tash coming on the way to the second last and only just managed to hold her off. Sent Shan out about 1 second before Kath which made for a great race!

Aus champs - I felt shite, even running to the start but was trying to remain positive. This was a fun area but kind of weird map in parts and some of the grass was so long in was almost like sand. In any case the big granite was there and so were the contours but I never found any controls well - I would get to the circle and struggle to work out what I was looking at or for. 16 I didnt even get to the circle before I was confused, and I really died here. Disappointing considering I felt good running last weekend. Good navigation to circles but that was pretty easy as it was a big open paddock.

Weighed myself this morning - heaviest I have ever seen myself not good pre race prep.

Sprint champs - good run, no really mistakes though did a few wide routes around 17 because I was getting a bit confused about which control I was up and the legs were so short.

Ben and I ran to the mouth of the murray and then back through some sanddunes. Lots and lots of water and birds, two seals. Last time I was here it wasn't even flowing and looked very very sad.

SA long. Easy course and I took lots of track options to avoid the spikey bushes. I think I went too far round on the track to 4 and should have cut across the knoll, the second time I went through there I was with Jas and Anna and went straight through and it was fine. Anna caught me at 6 and we ran the track to 7 together and caught Jas. Ran with Jas to the end, but Anna disappeared after 8 and reappear for a little bit at 10 but then was gone again. Lot and lots of track running.

Fun course, heaps of controls. Had a bit of trouble towards the end, number 18 the green seemed to be everywhere and i was confused until i stumbled across the creek the control was in. Also lost it at the end in the short legs, standing on the knoll looking for my control which was further on, then wrong green dot for the next one. Good start to the week.
