SVO meet at Colonel Denning State Park.

2 1/2 hour drive to get there got me tired. Biting cold wind. So wasn't in a great mood. Walked first 4 controls perfectly. Was a bit confused on #5 and went too low in the reentrant. Then had to climb back up. Could have used water at this point but none was on the course. Did the steep climb to 6 OK. But then on the way to 7 had a brain blip and my thumb moved to the route for #8. This got me totally confused. Trying to calm myself down and relocate was not working. Finally bailed out down to the road and couldn't believe where I was. Two reentrants off! . Now exhausted still had trouble finding 8 on the climb up. When my splits came out not punching #7 it all of a sudden made sense. Hopefully got this out of my system.

Walked on the Ma & Pa railtrail from Fallston to Belair with Linda, Leslie & Bill. Had some pea soup in Belair and hiked back. Probably too much walking the day before an O event. But the knee felt OK.

Slow walking to test my knee. Still a bit puffy, but the walk was painfree.
