Great Falls National Park, MD. Though I'd just half eaten my breakfast, Peggy said she was getting out for a run. I got ready quickly and we went up to the Angler's Inn parking lot together. From there, I started ahead of her, going up the Berma Rd. in the new and still falling snow. The lot wasn't busy which was really nice for a change. After the first mile, I slowed. I'd been taking it easy anyway. Near the tavern, I realized I'd need to go farther so I did a small loop in the parking lot. The gate to the park had been closed so it was empty. Fortunately for me, the bathroom was open. I looped back on the towpath the whole way, and picked-up the pace again. I ran in my Ice Bugs and didn't have much slipping with them. There were fewer than usual numbers of hikers and runners, but no cyclists.
