Was hoping to do the stumble, but was just happy to be able to go, family wanted me back home before 12.
I knew the time to beat before I left, saw Jonas and Mathias just got back with 37 minute times.
Ran 32:44, Walked 11:35, Idle 7:00

s-1 I had a trouble seeing the leg with control 11 in the middle of it and the 7-8 leg intersecting (and covering part of the trail).
I initially ran through the field and the woods to Rock Creek, then remembered the course notes that it was better to take dry crossings, so ran north towards the fence and trail. I left the trail at the end before the junction and continued west to the control. It would have been better to stay on trail most of the way, starting with the trail that goes below the dam and leave the trail at the junction directly east of the control (a drop slower, but less likely to miss it than taking the trail until the slight bend directly north of the control. Probably should have planned the leg better before I ran off.
1-2 ran around to the east slope, then went up a bit and contoured south, passing the large reentrant, and continuing south to the spur to the control
2-3 went straight, nw towards the top of the hill, then down a little, seeing the control right away
3-4 went straight to the reentrant, it was hard to miss this location
4-5 up a little, then down, continuing straight north and down to the path, through the marsh, past the boulders, and up the hill to the path. Used the bend to attack
5-6 through the open land to the trees, then west until I saw the reentrant
6-7 straight
7-8 really messed up this one (and knew that there was no longer a chance to win at this point), bad direction out of the control, drifting slightly north, saw people, and went to the trail they were on, north of where I wanted to be. Got confused at a junction, and again went the wrong way. I ended up in some open land, initially thinking that I was at the field near start, but it was steeper here, and the paved path and unpaved path were on opposite sides. I also wondered why I didn't pass the dam, then realized I was back to the open land from before. I went back towards 8, and didn't need to worry how far off I was, because the lake, dam, or river would put me back on track. I ended up back at the trail junction from before, took the right way, and went over the dam towards the field. I took the hard to find trail off of the field and followed it until I could see the correct reentrant/ditch, and went straight to the control. Attackpoint said I lost 6:40 here, but it was at least 8 minutes, because my loop back and forth to the same trail junction was 8 minutes
8-9 Through the ride/clearing and to the spur
9-10 This was the hardest to see, I went west, over the stream, across the paved path, up the hill, and to the southern part of the vegetation. I could see a little orange peeking out
10-11 Trail run, felt tired, but ran anyway
11-12 ran hard

Very fun course, my best pace to date at 12:19/km, and that's with over 8 minutes of lost time.
